Growing up in a small town near the border of New York State and Canada, she formed a profound bond with the natural world, an influence that continues to live within her. As a child, exploring the world, adventuring barefoot through forests and along streams, and bundling up to venture out in winter storms, she instilled in herself an appreciation for the beauty and resilience of nature. This theme permeates much of her photography. Currently, she travels through California, the West Coast, and the American Southwest by car, seeking new landscapes and perspectives. Her photographs are an intimate exploration of her immediate environment.
