Growing up in a small town near the border of New York State and Canada, she formed a profound bond with the natural world, an influence that continues to resonate within her today. In her early years, exploring the world, adventuring barefoot through forests and along streams, or bundling up to venture out in winter storms, she instilled in herself an appreciation for nature's beauty and resilience. This theme pervades much of her photography. Today, she travels by car through California, the West Coast, and the American Southwest, seeking new landscapes and perspectives. Her photographs are an intimate exploration of her immediate environment.
