Growing up in a small town near the New York State/Canadian border, she developed a profound bond with the natural world, an influence that still resonates within her today. As a child, she explored the world, adventuring barefoot along forest streams and bundling up to brave winter storms, instilling in her a deep appreciation for nature's beauty and resilience. This theme is central to much of her photography. Today, she travels by car through California, the West Coast, and the Southwestern US, seeking new landscapes and perspectives. Her photographs are an intimate exploration of her immediate surroundings.
