Born in the UK with Nigerian roots, Yibi left the vibrant hustle and bustle of London to settle in Hastings, a seaside town on England's south coast. She now lives there with her partner and two children, enjoying a slower pace of life, which she first experienced while living in Sweden. Before venturing into the world of painting, Yibi spent eight years running an organic haircare and skincare business. This experience instilled in her a refined sensitivity for processes and care. Her current artistic interest is focused on portraiture, often capturing quiet, reflective moments and shared experiences with friends and family.
