Whether shooting in his hometown or on the streets of Tokyo, his approach is observant yet intentional. He researches his subjects in advance but keeps things simple, allowing the narrative to unfold naturally. Compositions are carefully considered but never overly contrived, leaving room for improvisation and serendipitous encounters.
