This drinkware brand offers items that are carefully handcrafted one by one using real lacquer by artisans of Echizen lacquerware, a traditional craft from Fukui Prefecture. Ikkanbari is made by placing washi paper on top and then applying lacquer, which creates an uneven pattern that gives it a unique texture with a luxurious feel similar to leather products. Products made with natural lacquer are made with the desire to spread the culture of lacquerware even more into everyday life. One of the aims is to pass on the "painting" technique, which is the basis of lacquer craft, by having artisans, including young ones, apply the lacquer by hand.
