This is a purely Japanese-made lunch box with a thickness and deep expression, made by encasing SOU Textile Kyogata Yuzen fabric in resin. The fabric has a unique pattern that cannot be produced by printing, and because the fabric is used randomly, each piece has a different pattern. This manufacturing method changes the color depending on the dyed color of the fabric and the color after resin processing. While it is difficult to achieve the color and expression we envisioned, we were particular about the finish, and we worked with textile artisans and molding artisans to make multiple prototypes until we found the right texture and color for the fabric.
