"SUIJIN" is designed based on the masterpiece "Suijin" by Japanese painter Hiroshi Senju. In order to express the perspective of the work, the craftsmen worked with him to create every single splash of water, carefully expressing the powerful waterfall with 62 colors of thread. [Designer's Line - Hiroshi Senju -] Architect Kazuyo Sejima designed the cultural center "Shogin Takuto Tsuruoka" in Tsuruoka City, Yamagata Prefecture (completed in August 2017). The curtain for this hall was designed by Hiroshi Senju, a Japanese painter active around the world, and Yamagata Dantsu's gradation technology was the most suitable for expressing the "blurring" that is a characteristic of Senju's masterpiece "Suijin," so Senju nominated Yamagata Dantsu as the manufacturer. When Senju actually touched the curtain, he was impressed by the wonderful tactile sensation that he felt with his skin, not just with his eyes.
