The "Stool" is made of solid cypress wood from Gifu Prefecture, where the "More Trees Forest" is located, and is handcrafted one by one by local craftsmen. The cypress from this region is called "Tono cypress" and has been used for traditional buildings such as temples and shrines since ancient times.
