The "Taru Monogatari" products are made from barrels that have been used to age Suntory whiskey for many years, and are made to preserve the curved lines and texture of whiskey barrels, giving them a rich texture. Whiskey barrels are made from carefully selected oak wood. To prevent leakage from the barrel during the long aging period, straight-grained white oak wood is used, just like high-end furniture materials. When whiskey barrels that have finished their role are dismantled and the surface of the bent and stretched barrel wood is carved out, beautiful oak wood is revealed. The wood, which has the strength and beauty unique to straight-grained wood and the dignity it has acquired through the aging period, is reborn as furniture. The dining table is available in a dark brown "Yamazaki" color that evokes the color of long-aged whiskey, and a "Natural" color that naturally expresses the oak grain of the barrel wood.
