A masterpiece of the mid-century, designed by Harry Bertoia in 1952. Bertoia found sublime beauty in materials and skillfully combined steel wire to design the chair. Each steel wire line forms a different mesh in accordance with the movement of the curves, showing Bertoia's commitment to beauty of form, as a sculptor. Bertoia described the chairs he designed as "made almost entirely of air."
