The fluctuating lines engraved by hand add warmth to the dining table. Rayure means "scratch" in French. Each line is engraved by hand by a craftsman and carefully made at a pottery studio in Seto. You can enjoy the expression of the vessel created by the intersection of the lines and the texture of the glaze through the unevenness. The brown has a glossy finish that goes well with bread and coffee. The navy has a matte finish with a subdued sheen, and is a modest color that goes well with Japanese tableware.
