GRAND PRIX Steel Legs 3130
Fritz Hansen introduced Arne Jacobsen's Grand Prix chair at the Spring Exhibition at the Danish Museum of Art and Design in Copenhagen in 1957. It was originally called the "Model 3130", but later that same year it was exhibited at the Milan Triennale, where it won the Grand Prix, the highest award of the exhibition, and was named the "Grand Prix Chair". This product is available in three sizes with steel legs. The shell is a molded plywood made from a combination of nine layers of veneer and Indian cotton. Available in natural wood, lacquer (a paint finish that hides the grain) and colored ash (a paint finish that shows the grain of the wood, which varies from chair to chair). Stackable. - The natural wood laminated plywood is finished with a natural wood veneer on the outside and a clear lacquer. The clear grain of the wood enhances the organic form of the chair. The grain pattern varies from piece to piece. If you prefer a natural look, we recommend natural wood.・Lacquer The lacquer finish hides the grain of the wood, giving it a uniform, silky soft look and allowing the color to shine through. ・Colored Ash With colored ash, the grain of the wood is clearly visible through the color. It has the advantage of being a more durable finish than natural wood. Source: https://flymee.jp/
