The Drop is a small chair with a big personality. The fully upholstered Drop blends into any space, proving that well-designed furniture can impact the space with its presence and beauty. Arne Jacobsen designed the Drop as part of his masterpiece, the legendary SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen (now the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel). Although it was produced alongside the Swan and Egg chairs, only a limited number of Drops were made for the hotel. After more than 50 years of slumber, the Drop was relaunched in 2014. This rounded chair with a beautiful back was Arne Jacobsen's personal favorite. The shell is available in fabric or leather. The legs are available in chrome or powder-coated finish. The upholstered model has chrome-finished steel glides moulded into the legs and felt glides. Fabric Fritz Hansen offers a wide range of fabrics for the upholstery. Leather (genuine leather) Fritz Hansen offers a wide range of leathers to ensure that each piece of furniture blends perfectly into any home. Different types of leather have different characteristics, so there are several factors to consider when choosing the right leather. Structure, maintenance, feel, comfort and appearance are all equally important. Different leathers also age differently, some darken and others lighten over time. The only thing that all Fritz Hansen leathers have in common is quality. We only use the finest leathers for our upholstery. Please note that leather is a natural material and there are natural individual variations in colour and surface structure.
