LITTLE GIRAFFE
Produced as part of the SAS Royal Hotel, where Arne Jacobsen was responsible for all of the design, the Giraffe chair was named for its high back, which was originally framed by a wooden frame around the shell and base. Arne Jacobsen experimented a lot with the Giraffe chair, and this version was modeled after the Little Giraffe, which features a low back and a four-legged base. The Little Giraffe is suitable for everyday use in hotel lobbies, canteens and conference rooms, and also as a beautiful addition to the dining table at home. Whatever space it is placed in, the Little Giraffe speaks to Arne Jacobsen's original design, Fritz Hansen's high level of sewing technique, and a sculpture that expresses beauty and comfort at the same time. Like many of Arne Jacobsen's furniture designed with Fritz Hansen, the Little Giraffe is also a fine example of mid-century Danish design, known for its timelessness, craftsmanship, and adaptability to any style. This product is a 5-star swivel base with casters. The base is available in satin-finished aluminium or black powder-coated finish. You can choose between fixed upholstery and removable covering.
