In 1959, Arne Jacobsen created Gryden, a lighter interpretation of the body-hugging lounge chair, originally designed for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. The shape is the same as the original 1959 design, but the materials have been improved to meet modern standards of comfort and durability. The chair is small but immersive, modern yet timeless, an original design by Arne Jacobsen. The base is made of four steel tubing legs with a chrome or dark brown body finish. Upholstery is available in fabric or leather. Fabrics Fritz Hansen offers a wide range of fabrics for upholstery. The only thing that all Fritz Hansen leathers have in common is their quality. We only use the finest leathers for our upholstery. Please note that leather is a natural material and therefore natural variations in color and surface structure may occur.
