This chair allows you to design the space you want. Bjarke Ingels designed the VIA57 easy chair in collaboration with Copenhagen design group KiBiSi for his VIA West building in New York. The VIA57 West building stands tall above the Manhattan skyline along the Hudson River. In a large hall or in the living room of an apartment, you can immerse yourself in the comfort and soft upholstery and enjoy the endless styling possibilities. The steel frame is embedded in a soft polyurethane foam material that is molded, and two different densities of polyurethane material create a soft yet stable seating experience. The base is made of solid oak with a clear lacquer finish and has plastic glides. Only fabric is available for upholstery. Fritz Hansen offers a wide range of fabrics for upholstery. Choose from our Designer Selection of fabrics and colours, or create your own custom design by combining your favourite colours, compositions and designs. We use fabrics from leading Danish and international suppliers to upholster our furniture. We carefully select our fabrics for their quality and characteristics, not only for the home, but also for public spaces such as offices, hotels and institutions, where durability is of paramount importance.
