The Swan sofa was designed in 1958 as a special model for the suites, lounges and panorama lounges of the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. The three-dimensional form of the Swan sofa is characterized by no straight lines, but only curves, just like the Egg and Swan chairs. The production of the Swan sofa, which began in 1964, stopped in 1974, but resumed in 2000. The base is made of satin-finished aluminum Shaker base.
