Orient was designed by Jo Hamerborg in 1963 and relaunched in 2013. For the relaunch, we worked with Hamerborg's family to recreate the perfect design, with high-quality materials providing excellent lighting effects. The shade is handcrafted using a wooden mold, revealing the unique organic shape and true craftsmanship of this pendant light. The organic form expresses deep beauty and pours soft, comfortable, glare-free light. [Lighting Collection] Fritz Hansen's lighting collection reflects the design philosophy that is rooted in all Fritz Hansen furniture. In creating lighting fixtures that deliver beautiful and functional light that delights and serves the user, the concept of "form follows function" serves as a guidepost, and the idea that light, function and aesthetics naturally form a trinity is at the core of the design. The lighting collection ranges from the original Bauhaus design of the Kaiser Idel series to contemporary designs such as the Suspense series by GamFratesi.
