LINNUT PALTURI
Linnut, which means "bird" in Finnish, is a collection born from a collaboration between Magis, Iittala, and Oiva Toikka. It originally started as the "Birds Collection" of blown glass that Oiva Toikka designed for Iittala in the 1970s. The Linnut, which Magis has just released, is a portable LED rechargeable lamp made by rotational molding of polycarbonate. We have striven to reproduce the texture of Birds as seen in blown glass as much as possible, and the beautiful finish makes it seem as if the glass Birds are emitting light. It is a fun, literary, and yet unprecedented collection.
