The inspiration behind this series was Chiang Mai, the ancient capital of Thailand. After visiting Chiang Mai, he brought the inspiration he got there back to Japan and added an arrangement to Hiromatsufu to create the "EX" series. Nostalgia and newness coexist, and it feels like a part of a landscape seen somewhere, but also like a shape he has never seen before. Made from Myanmar teak, it is carefully carved out while cherishing its unique flavor, leaving its individual characteristics such as knots, cracks, and insect holes intact.
