Barrel Craft Low Table
This low table is inspired by the oak side panels and band iron that make up a whiskey barrel. The side panels of a "puncheon barrel" that stores 480L of whiskey are disassembled, straightened one by one, polished, and finished into a table top. Looking at the table top from the side, you can see a small indentation that is a remnant of the "dovetail groove" that held the round mirror of the whiskey barrel. This is a unique feature of materials recycled from whiskey barrels. You can fully enjoy the weight of a barrel that has aged whiskey for a long time and the beautiful grain of solid white oak. The steel plates fitted on both ends of the table top are reminiscent of the band iron that is essential to a barrel, and have a unique shape that expresses the soft curves of the barrel's exterior. The surface has been carefully hammered by craftsmen to express the texture of years of aging. "Taru Monogatari" is a furniture that reuses barrels that have aged Suntory whiskey for many years. Among them, the Barrel Series, named after the barrel, allows you to enjoy the heavy texture unique to whiskey barrels.
