In 2003, Igarashi Takenobu, who designed the "Great Star Clock" on the exterior wall of the south exit of Sapporo Station, also designed station clocks in both the east and west concourses of Sapporo Station. This station clock has a double-sided display (one side is white, the other side is black), and the numbers from halfway down are all designed to face upwards so that they are easy to see from below. This watch was developed as a personal clock based on the original design of this station clock. The dial has a beautiful, easy-to-read design with original numbers that is appropriate for a station clock, and the clock frame is made by aluminum sand casting/machining, and the distance between the dial and the glass is kept to a minimum, pursuing the ultimate basic design as a clock.
