This stool was born when the designer was fascinated by the torii gates of shrines and the traditional carpentry techniques of Japanese culture. Two pieces of laminated wood are connected together by a small hard piece of wood (wedge). The seat is wide and stable, even though it is shallow, and can also be used as a side table. It has a presence that will catch your eye in the entrance or living room. The stool, completed with a harmonious design and the skills of a skilled craftsman, can be used in a variety of situations, from public facilities to home use. MASSPRODUCTIONS is a furniture brand launched by two designers with experience in furniture consulting, British Chris Martin and Swedish Magnus Ellevak. Sustainability is one of Mass Productions' core concepts. Many of their furniture pieces are made from a single material, and when a combination of materials is required, they are designed to be easily disassembled and recycled.
