This single-legged cafe table is simple yet conveys the texture of the material. Each table is made by an ironworks in Ogaki, Gifu Prefecture. The iron legs are left with a bluish-black coating called kurokawa, which is a natural coating that forms during the iron manufacturing process, and are finished with a clear coating to bring out the natural texture of the iron. The table top is made of laminated oak strips, which are relatively unaffected by dryness and humidity.
