This simple stool is made by an ironworks in Ogaki, Gifu Prefecture, and is full of texture. The cushioned seat is made of two layers of urethane foam with different hardness for a comfortable feel. Waxed canvas is used for the upholstery. It is water-resistant, and the uneven coloring and wrinkles go well with the texture of the iron legs. With use, the unique creases and wrinkles will appear, allowing you to enjoy the changes over time. The iron legs are left with the blue-black coating that naturally forms during the iron manufacturing process, called kurokawa, and are finished with a clear coat to bring out the natural texture of the iron.
