By updating the existing parts, the aesthetics of Japanese and Scandinavian design are fused. The structure is simple, but the chair is warm and familiar, and classic. The extremely thin lines and intricate details were created by pushing the limits of woodworking technology, achieving both the desired design and strength. The backrest is slightly wider than the armchair (N-DC01), and the overall width is adjusted to be compact. Born from the mutual respect between Denmark and Japan, the Karimoku case has a connection to nature that is evident in the design traditions of both countries. Currently, there is a growing need among city dwellers for their homes to be spaces that stimulate the senses, surrounded by an environment made of natural materials.
