This shelf was inspired by the umbrella stands and shoe cupboards found at the entrances of shrines and temples. Utilizing traditional Japanese construction techniques, we have created a system that subtly incorporates functions such as bookends and removable shelves that are difficult to notice at first glance. All shelves except for four fixed shelves are removable and movable, allowing you to vary your decorations. Thanks to Karimoku's sophisticated woodworking techniques, the adjustable shelves are made of a wooden structure that does not use metal fittings such as shelf dowels. Light shining on the structure creates a change in the space over time.
