Panton Chair Classic
Verner Panton is one of the most influential figures in mid-century design. Along with his experimental approach to form and color, Panton maintained a lifelong interest in cutting-edge technology, technology and materials. One of Panton's goals was to create a chair with an integrated back and seat that was comfortable and could be used anywhere, but at the time there was no manufacturer that could commercialize this design. Vitra and Verner Panton began development in 1963, and after several years of trial and error, 150 prototypes were made in 1967, which was the world's first one-piece molded cantilever chair made of plastic, and finally mass production of the "Panton Chair" began in 1968. When this chair was released, it was a sensational event that had a huge impact on the design world, and the Panton Chair won numerous awards. Various models were released after the initial development, but one of the earliest models is now in the collection of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and is considered one of the masterpieces of famous furniture design.
