The small desk lamp "Lamp de Bureau" was designed by Jean Prouvé with an emphasis on functionality for a student dormitory in the university town of Nancy, France. Made from a single curved steel plate, the soft light reflected by the powder-coated steel comfortably illuminates the desk. It is available in four colors: Vitra's classic "Japanese Red" and "Deep Black," the off-white "Blanc Colombe" inspired by the color of pigeon feathers, and "Blue Marcoule," which was developed in the 1950s for an order from Marcoule.
