This is a reproduction of an unknown Italian chandelier from the 1950s. The eight thick milk glass shades are supported by eight brass-plated arms, and the solid teak parts are used as accents. It is not gaudy, but has the feel of a lovely object hanging from the ceiling. The height of the main unit is small at 28cm, so it will not feel oppressive even if you install it in a room with a ceiling height of 240cm.
