ARNE JACOBSEN Bankers Table Clock
This table clock was created by ARNE JACOBSEN, a leading 20th century Nordic Danish architect and designer, for Lauritz Knudsen, Denmark's largest electrical equipment manufacturer, in 1930. It has been faithfully reproduced after more than 70 years. The dial adopts the design of the wall clock "Bankers", which was created based on the total design when he worked on the National Bank of Denmark (1971), which is said to be his masterpiece in his later years. This product is famous as one of Jacobsen's masterpieces, with the elegant spiral of the index representing the constant flow of time. It is newly equipped with modern functions such as LED light, movement sensor, and snooze function, and the battery has been changed from a 220V outlet type to two AA batteries. The alarm sound was also developed specifically for this product. ARNE JACOBSENARNE JACOBSEN is called the father of Danish design, who created the prototype of today's modern Nordic design. In 2008, ROSENDAHL, which strives to follow and nurture traditional Danish design, acquired the manufacturing rights to the Jacobsen Clock, and under the supervision of Jacobsen's beloved disciple, Tate Vaillant, a revival project was formed with the mission of faithfully reviving this wall clock to the original design. Tate's attention to detail is evident in the integrated dial, the beautifully arched mineral glass and stainless steel case, the back cover, and even the color. In addition to reproducing the wall clock, a new product has been produced: a table clock, Jacobsen's masterpiece. After more than half a century, this legendary masterpiece that connects Jacobsen's roots has been brought back to life in the present day. Source: https://flymee.jp/
