BASIC CHAIR
This basic dining chair is made from standard building materials, but is also designed for comfort. The creative idea of subtraction led to a sculptural structure. Originally designed for an art project in Switzerland, this chair has been produced in Japan by Ishinomaki Laboratory. The smoke-dried cedar from Kurikoma used in this product is from Miyagi Prefecture, where Ishinomaki Laboratory is based. It is not suitable for outdoor use, but the smoke-dried treatment enhances its insect repellent properties. It is not treated with chemicals that are harmful to the human body.
