This highly visible Arabic index clock was designed by ARNE JACOBSEN, a leading 20th century Nordic Danish architect and designer, and was adopted by the Danish railway in 1943. While the Bauhaus design philosophy, which pursues functional beauty, had a great influence on design around the world, Arne Jacobsen created a table clock with the most simple Arabic numerals font for the index, which is more visible and allows anyone to tell the time at a glance. This design was highly praised by Lauritz Knudsen, Denmark's largest electrical equipment manufacturer, and was adopted for the clocks used at Danish railway stations. Stations are places where the majority of the population needs to see clocks, and this simple and universal clock design blends in naturally as if it had been there from the beginning, becoming an important tool for telling time to many people. The Lauritz Knudsen Museum has a collection of clocks with the same font as "STATION". The "STATION" clock is the first to feature a black case with Arabic indexes, making it a versatile design that blends naturally with the atmosphere, interior, and scenery of the place even today. The "STATION" clock is available in three sizes. The 29cm diameter size is the standard size that is ideal for living rooms and entrances. ARNE JACOBSENARNE JACOBSEN is known as the father of Danish design, who created the prototype of today's modern Nordic design. ROSENDAHL, which strives to follow and nurture traditional Danish design, acquired the manufacturing rights for the Jacobsen clock in 2008, and under the supervision of Jacobsen's disciple Tate Vaillant, a revival project was formed with the responsibility of reviving this wall clock faithfully to the original design. Tate's attention to detail is clearly evident in the integrated dial, the beautifully arched mineral glass and stainless steel case, the back cover, and the color. In addition to reproducing the wall clock, we have also produced a new table clock, one of Jacobsen's masterpieces. After more than half a century, this legendary masterpiece, which is connected to Jacobsen's roots, has been brought back to life in the present day. Source: https://flymee.jp/
