A small woodworking shop in Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, makes wooden mirrors using apple trees from Aomori Prefecture. The patterns that are created by carefully fitting each small piece together are based on the motif of apple trees and the Shirakami Mountains. When not in use as a mirror, you can turn it over and enjoy it as interior decoration. There are two types of stand angles, so you can change the angle to suit the location and purpose of the mirror. Hirosaki City, Aomori Prefecture, is known as the number one apple producing area in Japan. Apple trees do not grow vertically due to the ease of harvesting, so there are few parts that can be used as lumber, and they are difficult to process due to the many knots, so after the harvest, they are disposed of except for firewood. At Kimura Mokkin Seisakusho, we cut down the trees from the farm, saw them, dry them, and process them all in-house, and we are committed to making products that utilize apple trees, even if it takes a lot of effort.
