PH 2/1 Pendant
The PH 2/1 pendant, relaunched in 1998, is the smallest of the three-shade PH lamps currently in production. All shades are frosted on the inside to produce a comfortable light without glare. Despite their small size, the light characteristics are excellent and they softly illuminate people and objects. They are suitable for hanging in groups on tables or counters. Between 1925 and 1926, Poul Henningsen developed the three-shade system. PH's first multi-shade lamp was designed in collaboration with Louis Poulsen for an exhibition in Paris. The partnership lasted until Henningsen's death in 1967. Glare-free light, delivering light where it is most needed, while at the same time creating soft shadows. These were the key themes pursued by PH throughout his life, and the light source was the incandescent bulb of the time.
