PH 4/3 Pendant
A metal version of the classic PH lamp, with a logarithmic spiral on the curves of the three shades. This long-selling model has been in production since its launch in 1966, with a functional design that collects plenty of soft light downwards. Between 1925 and 1926, Poul Henningsen developed a lighting fixture with a three-shade system. Henningsen's first multi-shade lamp was designed in collaboration with Louis Poulsen for an exhibition in Paris. The partnership lasted until Henningsen's death in 1967. Glare-free light, delivering light where it is most needed, while at the same time creating soft shadows. These were the key themes Henningsen pursued throughout his life, and the light source was the incandescent bulb of the time. The metal shade "PH 4/3 pendant" was released in 1966. The design inherits the standard three-shade system based on a logarithmic spiral, with the light source centered at the center of the spiral. This lamp is a simplified version of a model designed by Henningsen in 1929.
