A333 PENDANT LAMP "TURNIP"
The rounded, organic shape of this pendant lamp is reminiscent of the vegetable "turnip." The structure allows light to escape from the top of the lampshade toward the ceiling, further enhancing the attractiveness of the rounded, bulging form. It was designed in the 1950s for the building of the National Pension Institute in Helsinki. Artek pendant lamps have two essential elements. The first is that they are brimming with beauty and presence as objects, like sculptures, whether lit or not. The second is that the structure diffuses the light, reducing glare and emitting a soft light. It is precisely because they combine these two elements that Artek pendant lamps always envelop the space in a gentle, warm light, like a comfortable evening. Source: https://flymee.jp/
