The ceramic piggy bank "Vai Vaisukko" was inspired by the traditional Finnish practice of placing wooden statues outside churches to collect money for the sick and poor. "Secrets of Finland" is part of the "FIN/JPN Friendship Collection" celebrating the 100th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Finland and Japan. The six ceramic objects, designed after seasonal Finnish events, are both interesting and functional objects. Each one is handmade at a ceramic factory in Portugal that Artek has partnered with.
