ARNE JACOBSEN City Hall Table Clock
This table clock was created by ARNE JACOBSEN, a leading 20th century Nordic architect and designer from Denmark, for Lauritz Knudsen, Denmark's largest electrical equipment manufacturer in 1930. It has been faithfully reproduced after more than 70 years. The dial is based on the design of the wall clock "CITY HALL" that Jacobsen designed when he later designed the Rødvre City Hall (1956). The cool design is impressive with its precise and minimalist style that eliminates all waste, typical of the 1950s. It is newly equipped with modern functions such as LED light, movement sensor, and snooze function, and the battery has been changed from a 220V outlet type to two AA batteries. The alarm sound was also developed specifically for this product. The color model has a unique color lineup that highlights the simple bar index. The body and legs are all matte finished, making it easier to blend in with the space and interior. ARNE JACOBSENARNE JACOBSEN is known as the father of Danish design, who created the prototype of today's modern Nordic design. In 2008, ROSENDAHL, which strives to follow and nurture traditional Danish design, acquired the manufacturing rights for the Jacobsen clock, and under the supervision of Jacobsen's beloved disciple Tate Vaillant, a revival project was formed with the responsibility of faithfully reviving this wall clock to the original design. Tate's attention to detail is clearly evident in the integrated dial, the beautifully arched mineral glass and stainless steel case, the back cover, and the color. In addition to the reproduction of the wall clock, a new product has been produced: a table clock, Jacobsen's masterpiece. After more than half a century, the legendary masterpiece that connects Jacobsen's roots has been revived in the present day. Source: https://flymee.jp/
