Created by Verner Panton in 1971, the Panthella is one of Panton's most iconic designs, with its well-balanced, sculptural and timeless form. Its bright, dynamic curved form enhances any interior space. Its design is suited not only to private spaces such as homes, but also to open spaces such as shops, hotels and bars. The acrylic hemispherical shade spreads a soft, glare-free light into the surrounding space, and both the shade and the base act as reflectors. The filament of the bulb is designed to be on the extension line between the tip of the shade and the tip of the trumpet-shaped socket cover inside it, showing the influence of the lamp design of Poul Henningsen, who was a personal friend of Panton.
