Panthella 250 Table
Created by Verner Panton in 1971, the Panthella is one of Panton's most iconic designs. Its small size allows it to be placed in small spaces such as tables, shelves, and bay windows. The light source is not visible, and the downward light is reflected by the support and base, creating an accent light. Regardless of the material, color, or size, the bright, dynamic curved form enhances the interior space. The design is suitable not only for private spaces such as homes, but also for open spaces such as shops, hotels, and bars. The acrylic hemispherical shade spreads a soft, glare-free light into the surrounding space, and both the shade and the base act as reflectors. The filament of the bulb is designed to be on the extension line between the tip of the shade and the tip of the trumpet-shaped socket cover inside, showing the influence of Poul Henningsen's lamp design, who was a personal friend of Panton.
