A new Japan-exclusive item has been added to the Linnut series, which was released in 2019. The blue-eyed owl, reminiscent of the lakes of Finland, warmly lights up the dining table, garden, and bedroom. Linnut, which means "bird" in Finnish, is a collection born from a collaboration between Magis, Iittala, and Oiva Toikka. It originally started with the blown glass "Birds Collection" designed by Oiva Toikka for Iittala in the 1970s. Linnut is a portable LED rechargeable lamp made by rotational molding of polycarbonate. We strive to reproduce the texture of Birds seen in blown glass as much as possible, and the beautiful finish makes it seem as if the glass Birds are emitting light. It is a fun, magazine-like, and yet unprecedented collection.
