This series redesigns the structural features of the Windsor chair using rattan. The large backrest, which makes use of rattan's bendability, gently wraps around the body and creates a gorgeous atmosphere in the space. Rattan is a very resilient and durable material, but it is also easily deformed when subjected to force. For this reason, many reinforcing materials are required in places where force is applied, but based on the idea of "structural beauty" that combines not only strength but also beauty, the design aims for a simple structure with a sense of unity without showing the reinforcement as much as possible. The seat can be removed so that it can be replaced during maintenance. The frame is made of Manau wood from Sumatra, Indonesia. Manau wood is characterized by its density, strength, and beautiful surface. The rattan skin material for the woven and jointed parts is A-class Sega wood from Kalimantan.
