This "Kiriko" lighting series creates a soft rhythm in the space with Japanese silhouettes drawn with light. The forms, assembled by skilled craftsmen with extensive knowledge of wood using traditional "Kumiko" techniques, are filled with a comfortable elegance that can only be expressed through handwork, and emit a fantastically flickering light. Kiriko refers to a cube with each corner cut off. Inspired by the Kiriko lanterns that are lit during Obon, the lamp features a modern arrangement of traditional Japanese auspicious patterns as well as original designs.
