KOBO TABLE
This unpainted table has a woody smell and texture. It is easy to assemble by simply bolting the top and legs together, yet is strong. Its ease of use has led to its use in a wide range of applications, including offices and restaurants in Ishinomaki. It can also be used as an outdoor table, and goes well with the Ishinomaki bench and stools in the same series. The Yakushima cedar used in this product (a local cedar planted at the foot of Yakushima 30 to 60 years ago) grows at about one-third the rate of cedars in northern Honshu, has dense grain, and grows in a humid environment, so it is oily and resistant to decay. It is also known as Japanese red cedar. It has many knots, is heavier than red cedar, and is highly weather-resistant.
