It can also be used smartly as a bedside table. The Yakushima cedar used in this product (a cedar planted at the foot of Yakushima 30 to 60 years after planting) grows at about one-third the speed of cedars in northern Honshu, has fine grain, and grows in a humid environment, so it is oily and resistant to decay.
