IC Lights C/W2 DOUBLE 2
"IC Lights" is a series of milky glass spheres arranged to roll on a thin rod. The design was inspired by a short film by Tony Duncan, a master of contact juggling, and was created by Cypriot-born, London-based product designer Michael Anastassiades. The C/W type can be mounted on either the ceiling or the wall. The name "IC" comes from the identification code used by the UK immigration office to classify immigrants. The design, which maintains an exquisite balance like a sphere that does not roll off the slope, expresses Anastassiades' own unique balance as a foreigner and the unstable equilibrium of his identity.
