Metallic Tabouret
This metal stool was designed in 1936 by Jean Prouvé, a French designer who had a major influence on 20th century architecture and industrial design. It was designed along with two other models for an educational facility in Saint-Maurice, France, but was never put into production at the time. It was reissued and produced by Vitra in 2022. The body, which supports the seat made of curved steel plate made by bending sheet metal, a process often used in Prouvé's works, shows an affinity with the structure of the Trapése dining table, which was designed later.
