Seat
This masterpiece chair was designed by furniture designer Daisaku Cho, who has produced many masterpieces of Japanese modernism, while he was working at the "Junzo Sakakura Architectural Institute" founded by Junzo Sakakura, a disciple of Le Corbusier. The design contrast between the straight legs and the organically curved back and seat is attractive. The impressive form of the backrest was inspired by the cross-section of a persimmon when cut in two. Compared to the "low-seat chair" also designed by Daisaku Cho, the high seat has a shallow incline and is designed to make it easy to stand up. Lean your body against the thick seat and experience a comfortable sitting experience. This chair, which does not feel outdated even today, more than 60 years after its release, harmonizes with both Japanese and Western spaces and is perfect not only for home living rooms but also hotel lobbies and lounges. It is a reproduction of a work that was presented at the "1st Tendo Mokko Exhibition" held in 1960 to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the founding of Tendo Mokko. Sizes and designs have been updated to suit modern lifestyles and needs. Source: https://flymee.jp/
